You never took ur car into v-tec yet. What a waste of a S2k-the car was build to be driven hard.

you dont know what it feels like in v-tec and i dont know what it feels out of v-tec

It's like some mystical force on your engine that says break in is complete at 600miles?

What you probably smelled was the cosmoline (sp?) burning off. This is a rust inhibitor that is applied to the engine at the factory. When the car is new, and you get things good and hot, you will smell a funny odor coming from the engine bay.

Nothing to worry about, the smell will take a few weeks to go away.

As in all Hondas and Acuras, the VTEC is definitely an experience, especially in the earlier models.

I-Vtec can't really be felt. The VTEC in the S2000 is similar to a turbo hit, an instant rush of power.

Except if your Steve C

turbo hit? that must be some laggy ass turbo. i didn't realize how much i will miss my turbo and bov until i got my s2k. but i think having rwd is better than rice rocket fwd.

"SIMILAR" yes obviously it takes longer, but you don't have the lag between shifts like a turbo can have.

You should sell your S2k, and get a rice rocket again, you seemed happier than. S2k's are slow, not sure why everyone thinks they are the holy grail of cars.
