Since I live in Colorado, all my driving is above 5,000 feet and much higher. Looks like I need to take a road trip to sea level, dump the ole lady out at the curb, and go have some real fun.

hmmm I had a civic Si, my best friend drives a Turbo 240 with SR20 around 220 RWHP and another friend of mine has 300Z with 450 RWHP. But they will not say my S is slow and the VTEC sensation gave them the same pleasure as the turbo. turbo or not, 200 hp = 200 hp no matter which way you achieve it.

Vtec it, you paid for it. It's like buying an EVO and take the turbo off the car if you don't vtec it. Or buying a mustang v6 instead of the v8.

Uhh wtf did you wait 600 miles for? Oh right - here comes the idiot tard debate regarding break in. Bleh whatever.

Not sure about the rest of you, but at 5280 feet all the S2000 does at around 6k is make more noise. Still slow as hell. Oh how I hate altitude.

The effects of oxygen starvation are obvious.

Do you really have an S? I don't know anyone who bought a sport car and not trying to red line it... Must not know how to drive or have no skill or just too scared...

"SIMILAR" yes obviously it takes longer, but you don't have the lag between shifts like a turbo can have.

You should sell your S2k, and get a rice rocket again, you seemed happier than. S2k's are slow, not sure why everyone thinks they are the holy grail of cars.

i got over 1100 miles and still havn't passed 5000rpm yet. well there just was no reason to push it hard. i dun feel like wasting my gas. but til around 5000rpm car feels really smooth but lack of torque. my last car was turbo rsx and sure i miss that turbo.

oh wat rpm does vtec kick in anyway?
u kidding rite???
after first VTEC, i do it more than 10 times a day.
this...ba ~~~ah~~~ah~~ahng~~~ sound makes me wet everytime.
and i don really feel gas is going down by much even though i VTEC so many times.

Yes you do. Quite a difference.

What do S2K's or comparable cars run at the track @ 5,000 + feet steve?
low 15's to low 16's depending on the density altitude of the day. It really, really sucks. VTEC kicks in a bit later too ...
