There is a great book on traction and driving that was written in 1980's. The focus was on racing motorcycles, but it would be helpful to read. It explained that traction was limited like having a 10 dollar bill. You can spend some of it turning, some accelleratin and some braking. But don't ever spend more than you have. I just can't remember the name of it. Anybody know the name of it.

I believe it was "The 10 dollar bill handling handbook".

No wait, that's something else...

I've had the S for 6 months & I've "broken the tires loose" 2 times. Both were with wet roads, cold tires, while I was turning & NOT with vtec. These are the conditions you have to be aware of in this car & once you are it's a great-handling (well, maybe much better than great) car that I wouldn't trade for alomst anything.
2 times in 6 months on cold tires in the wet is nothing to worry about, that's probably normal. The original poster said "whenever I go on a very slight turn... I fishtail side to side like crazy", this implies every time (not occasionally, not sometimes, but "whenever") he's turning he's out of control. That's just reckless. There is nothing inherent in this car that would cause that to happen. No offense intended but he really needs to learn the car better before he causes an accident.

EDIT: Oops, this is Daveg27, my wife's login was cookied and I didn't notice!!

Follow all of the good advice here, and get plenty of practice. And then get more practice.

Speaking of Fishtailing, it's hard for me to keep a drift. The car doesnt seem to want to hold a sideways position in a turn. Tractions too good for me, the feel of the car sliding sideways is a totally different feel from a RX-7.

most of the braking power is done in the front, so when u do hit the breaks when you are sliding or spining, it will just make the car spin more

If you do slide or spin out, never hit the brakes unless u have no way of control it what so ever but doing so just makes the car spin to a stop. If it does happen counter steer to correct it.
