Pull Out Method FTW!!!!!

i'd go with the S.......the STi isn't being used to its full potential if the back seats aren't being occupied

The 07's got some revised gearing, if I'm remembering correctly, and because of that they are faster.

So I just got my S2000 back from my M3 extended test drive. Wow, it's great to have her back. She's up for sale right now but dang... I don't know.

The STi and the S2K are totally different animals. Why can honda combine the platforms? Creating a factory hardtoped, realtime awd, turbo S2000 instead of the CR waste the S2000 would rule the world then!

I have owned an sti and currently own a S2000. Luckly for me neither were daily drivers as, both let in to much road noise for my taste. As for which one is better..... I personally prefer the S2000. It's a much more rewarding car to drive. Some compare it to a go cart, and I would agree. As for the lack of torque, I don't notice it, and my daily driver is a 5 series with a V8, and the wife has a sc grandprix.

I had an STI, I have an AP2 S2000 now, and I don't miss the STI except when it's snowing and I have to drive my beater. If that's not an issue for you, I think you'll enjoy the S2000 a lot more.

A few comments... The S2000 has plenty of torque for anything but the most aggravating V8 Explorer-driving soccer mom; it gets around just fine. The top goes down, the handling is great, I find the suspension and seats easy to deal with on long trips... I have no complaints, except when it's raining or too chilly to drive with the top down. That can get pretty addictive.

I put hardened motor, trans, and diff mounts on my STI, as well as a cat-back, to make it more raw/noisy, though, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. I like a car to be as race-car-like as I can stand, so you may feel the S2000 suspension is too stiff. Relative to the jouncy-bouncy overdamped STI suspension I find it much more tolerable.

I find the idea of STI>S2K being a "downgrade" in terms of anything but practicality to be pretty laughable.
