The future of the S2000
Run it forever with gradual changes. Its a car meant to be used, not a museum piece. The fun is in using it.
If mine wears out, I want to be able to replace it. I too want Honda to always have a roadster/sportscar in its lineup.
I want to be able to find parts and service without paying an arm and a leg. I want people to know how to service it.
If Honda does kill it, the value may (and I stress may) go up, but that only counts when you sell it. If you intend to keep it and enjoy it what difference does the possible increase in value make?

Nothing's perfect and there are detail changes that could be made without changing the appearance or character. I think Honda should keep it going. They may have reached the point where everybody who wants one already has one so the sales could drop drastically in the face of all the new competition from things like the 350Z and the Z4. Personally, I have driven Miatas, Boxsters, 911s, Z3s, Audi TTs etc and am an ex-C5 owner. I think that the S2000 is way way ahead of any of them. The Z4 is butt-ugly and expensive. Having driven the G35 I find it hard to believe the 350Z is anything special.
