feels like everyone who would want an S already has one. sales will continue to decline considerably, imo.

I assume Honda should have a replacement in the works considering the s2k is going into its 7th year of production. Thats about the time speculation of a successor and replacements starts to rear its head. I just hope Honda doesn't let the s2k die a slow and painful death like the NSX.

If they keep selling, they'll keep building them I'd imagine. Who knows how long that'll be. Last I heard, there is no successor currently in the pipeline.
Good point!

The NSX still has a very similar shell after all these years!

I was at a meeting in Ohio last week with some Honda accessory types I'm in a comittee with from the west coast and none of them seemed to know anything firm about the S 2000's future. Sometimes it is so wierd that peopel who have no passion or savy for cars can have such high level jobs at these companies!!! The 2006 improvements are few but seem well concieved . If it goes the way of the NSX it could be around for quite a while with very few minor changes. Thats been the history for a long list of lots of low volume roadsters. Big things I was told are that in anything performance Honda does they really want to push their engine reputation so definatley look for a V-10 in the NSX successor and heres a big scoop, look for a new line of jet aircraft featuring a Honda engine. Hmmm a V-10 S2000????????
