This reminds me of the time I took my bike off the rear stand without making sure the kickstand was extended first.

Sometimes I think Karma gives you a little test just to see how you handle life mentally. Don't sweat it and you'll pass.

I once had a VW and they seem to think Crisco is the best surface coating for the pedals. I popped the clutch on a rainy day and bumped into someone in a parking lot Luckily, the car was slows as balls and no real damage happened. However, later that day, I picked up some grip tape to stick on them. I plan on doing that to the S as well soon

I saw an NFR with a similar damage. The body shop blended the color. It looked great to me. The first damage always hurts a lot...

Metallic paints need to be blended because it's nearly impossible to match the density of the flakes. If a solid color is blended, things will still look off if the original color is off. Likewise, a metallic blend will also look bad if the base color was off to begin with. A good color match on NFR should come out flawless without blending.

Also, has anyone found a good template for replacing the S2000 fender badge? I've seen repair jobs where the body shop obviously just eyeballed it and completely missed the angle/placement. I'd love to be able to buy a pre-cut plastic template similar to the ones that some OEMs have for their badges.

Got her back today! (I was sluggish about posting the damage, as I was in denial. Accident occurred on April 2nd). Here she is! Tell me what you guys think of the body work (also ignore the wheel gap in any photos, as the car is parked on the edge of a hill )

Tucked away, safely back in the garage

BTW only two pieces of the original clear bra remain on the car (driver's side headlight and fender) so if you see any slight color inconsistencies there that is the reason (but to be honest I can't even tell it's there)

Now I just need to wait a month before having a new clear bra applied over the entire front again (existing pieces will be replaced as well).

Looks great! Congrats on getting her back!

The color match looks great in the pictures, so kudos to their paint shop for doing an awesome job without blending.

Congrats on getting your car back. Carelessness happens sometimes-- but don't worry about it.

Wow, she looks amazing! That was pretty quick, too.

Glad you have the car back. I know what a good feeling it is

Thanks for the all the kind words fellas! I'm quite happy to have her back.

However, something's up with the car again, ugh! Whenever I put the passenger side window up or down it makes a horrible grinding sound, like someone is scraping the window with gravel. There are no scratches on the window but when I put the window up there is a fine film of dust (or some other material) on the glass. I didn't think the body shop did any work involving the door, but I called to double check (they had not). Also it did not make this noise when I left the body shop, but started the following day.

I guess it's just a coincidence and I have an appointment at the Honda dealership for Thursday morning (car has extended warranty).

Oh well!
