There are a lot of different topics on here for this, try looking around in the search because its filled with information on the different 4. somethings. Since the search is difficult, this is what I've kind've picked up, as simple as I can put it:

It does not add horsepower.

You'll get through the gears faster(acceleration)4.10<4.44<4.56(7)<4.77

4.56 and 4.57 are basically the same thing except that the 4.56 is supposed to have gotten rid of the whine.

4.44 is "better for highway driving", your RPMs will not be up as high at say 75 as they would be in 4.56 or 4.77. Ultimately OEM gear is gonna be the lowest.

When you say daily driver, what do you mean? "In traffic on the way to and from work""driving around the curves in the country"...Ultimately it is what you want. They are not made for one thing,(one isn't for this type of driving and the other for that) They change the way you shift through your gears. The lower the final gear, the lower the RPMs, the less you shift, the "better the daily driver", the higher the final gear(4.77), the more you will shift, the more intense, exciting, not as relaxing but can make for a fun ride and makes you be able to accelerate through the gears. 4.56(7) is the median, what I am going to get. It really depends on what kind of driving you want to do, and actually do.

I am not an expert, and might be wrong about some of this, so you really need to look on the search or talk to the most knowledgable people on here, my suggestion would be xviper or wisconsinS2k, but be specific and "know" what you really want/need inforamtion about.
