Default gears grinding at high RPM

Hey everyone. Im an experienced manual driver but not knowledged much about trans, clutches, etc. The problem is, once in a while shifting from 1st to 2nd at high rpms, my gear grinds and no i didn't power shift. Is my clutch slipping? Thanks for your help.

no it doesn't mean your clutch is slipping. it just means your 2nd gear itself or the 2nd gear synchro is in bad shape. there was a TSB on the older s2000's.

a slipping clutch is where the engine speed does not increase linearly with vehicle speed.

You could have a simple dis-engagement issue, I'd start by changing the clutch fluid and adjusting the play of the clutch pedal pushrod.....has worked for a few cases of mine.
