I've had my S2K for over a year, and only the other week found an easy way to get the car into reverse. I always struggled a bit to get it into reverse in the morning, and it's not because I don't know to push the knob downward; it would jus take 2 tries. So here's the tip that I discovered. Put the car into first before trying to go into reverse, I guess it gets the clutch or gears or something in sync...makes it very very easy to slide into reverse.

I've been using this trick for the past 13 years in my MR2. I drive all stick shifts this way, go to first then reverse. Out of habit, I couldn't do it any other way. A Mustang owner taught me this trick. Works for me.

Thanks for the reminder, I have done this in the past on other cars that I owned and it works.

Yup......I have to do that with mine too.
Especially when it's 25 degrees out.
