Getting loctite to give!

Hmmm I got kodokans seat locks and it came with blue locktite stuff. It said one drop, but I'm one of those more must be better type of guys so I used bunch of drops n screwed it on. Hmm lol I hope I don't end up in a pickle later on.

i used the red loctite on my shift knob =( but i dont think ill need to remove it anytime soon

I've only used loctite on my antenna after it got stolen 2 times.

Have same problem. I used a hairdryer to no effect. I'm going to try a heat gun soon and to keep the heat from transferring down the shifter probably use a can of compressed air (inverted) to spray the rod as far away from the knob as possible if it gets too hot. I've also read that the torque should be applied quickly rather than more slowly increasing it in efforts to snap lose the bond, but that may be urban legend. I agree with others too in that a torch inside the car is very risky unless you're a pro! I'd recommend starting with one of the small butane torches that chefs use to caramelize sugar before going to a welding torch and smokin' your ride...
