cpo is certified pre-owned. the warranty is MUCH better than your standard hondacare warranty. it has similar protections as a new warranty. NO aftermarket warranty has that.

how much do they lose? who knows, there are many ways to state that. I guess the cost of keeping the car there is the opportunity cost for that parcel of land. dealers usually are in areas where this is cheap. It is the fact they could have another car there that (might) sell where the cost comes in. I don't think that there is much difference between one week and one month on "holding" costs so I don't think you have any leverage there. After 60 days, dealers will usually let a car go cheap, but if they have not had it that long, they will hold out for a better deal.

I paid a document preperation fee ($45.00), Registration, transfer and Titling fees ($32.00) and Sales and use tax (this based on the jurisdiction your are residing).

Total fees $77.00

most dealers have a dealer fee of around $400. I would say that you are negotiating price+TTL. That way, if they try to add the fee you can say that the fee is not a tax, title, or license fee and insist that your negotiated price should include that. Usually it works...worst case you can half it.
