I'll admit I like the looks of a S2000... MAYBE even more than my Miata... but I think the "girly" thing is a minority opinion.
I am not slamming Miatas or their owners, I'm suggesting that perceptions of them are rather different from those of, say, S2000s, and that the "girly" appelation reflects a common, and in my opinion majority, view of the car.

the definition of sports car has changed. times have changed, and so does the culture around it. sports cars by your definition are not even in production anymore.

You think the "girly" thing is a minority opinion among Miata owners, or the general populace? If you mean the latter, I call BS.

IF your opinion IS true, the opinion of the S2000 may not be that different

... or maybe they're just to girly to say it to my face ... well, at least not the ones I've embarrassed on the back roads.
And just how many S2000s do you claim you "embarrassed" on the back roads?
I don't mean to start anything but it looks as if your Miata fanboy pride is starting to show.

Of course I'm proud of my Miata, especially when I can see what the old bucket of bolts can do on a daily basis. But I wouldn't be hangin out on this forum if I wasn't also an S2K fan.

I just don't think the miata sizes up to an s2000.
They are a different car though. The miata is smaller. Its not as wide as the S and probably not as long. I'm sure they are fun to drive too. Its still a car. I just think its funny when peoples says the miata is more responsive and more sporty than the S. I'm sure a good driver in a miata could maybe be a poor driver in an S but over all we know what the bottom line is.
The S is a purists car. It was designed with perfection in mind. They hit it close too. I have had my S for a little over a year and can say that i'm still learning about it everyday. There's always going to be a better car though. Today its the S and tomorrow the new X.
