grille-tech grilles...do they scratch?

grille tech grilles are also known for it's rusting. Mine rusted w/in the first 9-12 months (definitely before 1 year). I heard/read that coastal metal grille don't rust so it's worth the extra $$.
But in regards to the scratches, I never checked. I wash my car regularly, but not once did I check. But mine's also black, so I guess it's not that noticeable w/ it on.

Grille-Tech's race style grill in black has been on my sebring for over a year. No signs of scratches on the bumper. The grill still looks new and does a fine job protecting the radiator. Great product.
