hardtop installation fee?

Do you get the "happy ending" with that price? Jeebus, that's expensive. Around here, techs get $70/hr. So even if you had two of them working to get this on, that would mean it takes them the better part of a day to do the install. I wave the on this one. Get the kit from hardtopguy, and DO IT YOURSELF. Things are far more rewarding that way.

i installed the HT on my 01 and it took me about 2 hrs.. but then again.. I installed the TOP by myself .. I nearly died!!!

I agree with every post here that says do it yourself. It took me about two hours, and I did it myself up to the point of actually lifting the hardtop onto the car. Trust me, it doesn't take a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering to figure it out.

It is ridiculous that a Honda dealer would charge more than, say, $140 for the two man-hours MAX that it should take.
