Never have either. I love it though when people look at me at a light, like wanna race, I'll pretend like I'm going to race and then watch the idiot speed away hahaha. Mind you I do enjoy the open road for some high speed jaunts.

sorta... I was crusing on the highway on a Sunday around 11pm and was going 85 or 90 in a 55 and as i pass this one car who was only going about 65 he punches it and try's to catch up to me so I start increasing my speed and so does he I finally lose him but by this time i'm doing 120... To make a long story short I get pulled over around 5 miles down the road (I had slowed back down to 80) and the cop asks me if I was going through some town and I say "No" ofcource and he tell me that an off duty police office called in and said that a silver car was travelling at well above 100... which i wasn't till he tried to catch up to me

I guess he was trying to get my plate number but never did.

So I ended up getting a ticket 79 in a 55.

Last night I was on 193 in Great Falls. I passed two kids (before it goes down to 2-lane just before 495) one was in some crysler and the other car was a modded, mid 90's 318i. So I'm driving in a 'spirted' manor down the beautiful, twisty roads of 193 when this kid just gets right up on my tail. So i lose him through a few tight turns and then I come up on another car (this is about 11:30pm). Of course I slow down, but these kids just come flying up and pass both myself and the car infront of me at the bottom of a hill over a double yellow line!!!!!!! By the time I crested the hill he was flying down the other side, had to be doing at least 80mph (35mph zone), studdered at a car in front of him and passed again through the double yellow narrowly missing oncoming traffic! I was shocked. I couldn't believe it! I guess I will have to remember that the next time...not to encourage the 'stupid' driving.

Like my mother says, you may get there 5 mins quicker, but you'll die quicker too.
Amen brother! Drove a Z-28 for seven years, then a Millenia S for three years before the S2K. There is no end to the long line of people who want to prove they can out do you no matter what car they drive. Let'em pass.

Not that I think this makes what I do "right" - but generally the only races I get involved in now are with people I know, just to do comparisons of the two cars.

I've extensively raced my roommates Celica GT-S 6 speed w/ 35 shot of nitrous, and I've extensively raced a few different RSX Type S guys that I'm good friends with. I've only ever done this on deserted roads, or roads with absolutely no traffic. Like I said, I don't think that makes what I do "right" - but at least we're not endangering the lives of other people.

Other than that, I just take it to the track. At least there you get a time slip to prove it.

I have to say I've never intentionally racerwith anyone on the street. Most of the time I just play by myself ( ) and people would race me then I'd let go so they can go play with themselves.

But last time our local owners went to have a run at the mountains, and I was ahead while another member switched lanes and want to race with me. I didn't want to race so I slowed down to around 30km/h and he slowed down as well. I thought the only way I could let him get ahead was to gun it with him and let go quickly because I didn't want to hold up the rest of the guys behind me. He slowed down again wanting to race again. And I did. I felt ashamed that I did what I did.

Normally? No.

Once...yes. Last Friday.

But on a normal basis, I just like to drive in a "spirited manner", as mentioned by other people. If someone wants to race me, I let them drive the way they want as long as they aren't in my way.
