hate my S
My S is my fun car. I will drive it on Fridays if I need to leave the home office to see a client...but that would be the only week day I drive it. I will take it out later at night once the kid-o's are bedded down for a quick drive to end the day. And really the only car I drive on the weekends....the limited driving for me makes it like a new car almost every time I get in it.
I don't think I would like the S at all for a DD. I am in and out of my vehicle 15-20 times a day so it would be a beating for me to do that in the S.

i have a short commute (about 4 miles) and it's all traffic lights and stop signs. not too fun. But on the weekends i'll take it. Worst part is, when i take it to work, on my way back home i want to go for a loooooong drive to the beach or something.
But.... the kiddies are waiting at home........
I'm in a same situation as you. Its a daily driver (about 26 miles each way). I put on roughly 300 miles each week. I do have 2 other vehicles that I could use and I have switched vehicles to take to work a few times. But I noticed each time I do and I come out to the company parking lot and had forgotten that I did not bring the S to work, I get a bit dissapointed that the commute back home won't be as fun.
My 7 days with the S2000 beats your 2 days.

Well, I really don't get this - I have 3 vehicles to drive; a 94 4Runner, the 05 S2000, and an 07 TL type S. and I drive the S2000 whenever I can. Never any doubt that this is my favorite vehicle in my range of choices.
I don't currently daily drive my S2000, and I prefer it that way for now.
Part of the enjoyment that I have with the S2000 is having an immaculate, new car sitting in the garage. That's not to say I don't drive it, I just drive it when the drive is going to be FUN. And when I do take the car out, I'm reminded just how exhilarating the car is each and every time.
When the commute is destined to be boring regardless of what I'm driving, I might as well drive the car that's better on gas, already has a chipped up front end and windshield, and that I don't have to worry about in parking lots.

i dont know about how u say you enjoy driving it everyday.. because when i 1st got it.. the 1st 10000 miles i drove to work.. i drove it like a roadster.. and to prove it.. i needed new tires at 10000 miles.. i have 12000 miles on it and still havent changed them lol.. almost bald but the last 2k miles on it i drove it slow and like a DD ...
i dont like the idea of spending 400$ for tires every 10k miles because i have to and not because i want to..
yes i agree with 00civicSi
