However now that my knee is doing better and feeling pretty good I have been driving it a lot more latley.
Hope to get some more road time on her in the very near future before cold nasty snowey weather sets in for the next 6 months. Sux living in the far northwest corner of north carolina.
You get 6 mths of "nasty snowy weather" in NC??? I find this hard to believe. Do you live on top of a mountain?

About 4500ft above sea level is where the car is tucked away under the covers in the garage. The road going up to my house is gravel and after the first ice storm of the year you pretty much need 4x4 to get up and down the drive way. The past couple of years havent been really all that bad. Only about 3 months of 4x4 needed out of the year. Hopefully this year will be better and I can get her out some more.

Its been over a year now since i owned my S. The reason for buying it was because my DD 94 accord died So I just ended up buying the S to be my new car. I couldn't wait to fix accord because i need a car for work. I the S the minute i sat in it and (VTEC) cars quick. Over the year of ownership I drive it 25 miles each way to work and back. I got tired of it because it started to become a DD and i never drove it hard. Its not what i wanted. I just got used to it and didn't enjoy driving it anymore. Didn't get to drive it like it should be driven since its a roadster!!!

I have fixed my accord and been driving the accord for a little over 2 weeks now. The S sat in the garage where it belongs. Today i rolled it out and gave the S a washy. Drove it around the block and feel in with S again. Just that short drive reminded me why I got this car to begin with. Tomorrow im gonna take the S out for a spin and really enjoy the reason my i got the S

those who have two cars and get to drive the S every once in a while know what im talking about

those who only have the S and like to have two cars will really enjoy their S more if they get a second car

just wanted to share my feelings about the S and see if anyones gone thru what i have or something similar
I totally agree with you. When the S was my only car and I drove it to work every day (part of my commute was being stuck in stop and go traffic... uphill) it really started to get really long in the teeth. My main reason for discomfort in the S as a DD was the powerband. The tight quarters, stiff suspension, all the typical reasons why people don't like sportscars as a dd were ok for me, but the peaky powerband with no real low end torque gets really annoying after a while, and then if you caught in a nice heat wave in traffic with the ac on full crank you start to wonder how your clutch is holding up.
But since then I was able to use the car strictly as a weekend car and it's been a dream. Lately though, I have been thinking about the future when I won't have the company car and I will have to come out of pocket for a commuter/dd, and with that thought comes my dilemma of whether to sell the car or not.
But for the time being, I'm just looking forward to getting my car back from the shop. Saw it today and man it looks great (amazing what a new set of headlights could do to a 7 year old car).

Oh I plan on keeping it for a long wile, too much of myself put into it and until something sexier looking and better handling comes along.... which will probably be too long. I'll just be replacing motors and trannies as needed. Sure it looks nice and I like to keep it that way as much as I can, but I bought it to drive, not look at. It brings me enjoyment each and every dry day.

After looking at a map I see it looks pretty mountainous(88 looks like a fun road as well. Your gravel road also sounds fun. My wife and I have been looking at homes in Wayneboro ,VA to be near the Blueridge parkway and now are looking in Murphy NC for a mountain house instead. I am somewhat concerned about road conditions myself as we want to use it mainly in the winter.

If you mainly want to be up here in the winter i would recommend a 4x4 and leave the S in storage as you will get no where without 4 wheel dig.

That is what my wife's Q7 is for. I never take my S out in inclement weather...
