Default Help with the diffusers!!!

I have the headlights out I am trying to separate them with a hot knife. They won't budge. I'm just about to use my dremel tool and cut the black back and separate the clear lens.

All this for clear diffusers.

Can anyone give me any advice??

Are you following the instructions? Here's a link to detailed instructions with photos:

You have to cook the headlight in an oven to take them apart. Cutting with a Dremel tool is a bad idea, given the risk of slipping and doing some damage.

Thanks, Cutting was the last choice. I got Rick's directions.

Done, and they look awsome!!! The bumper and inner fender wells a little time but not hard. Following Ricks directions the removal of the Lens went well. Putting the diffuser in hot water also made it very easy to mold the diffuser to the light casing. Not hard. Removing the old black TAR was a pain. I found out that my snap on hot knife worked great at cleaning the grove for new silicon. All in all not to bad, but I hope I only have to do this once.

Thanks again Rick.

P.S. Here's a tip please put a e-mail address in with the diffusers to dircet the buyers to the installation site.
