Default HELP! My car got keyed.

Well me and a buddy of mine came out from the mall to find a police officer, security guard and 2 witnesses standing next to my car. My car was parked in the very back away from all vehicles. What had happened was 2 males around my age (21), walked up and started to key it. One of the witnesses (a 15 year old male started honking his horn in his moms car and scared away the 2 guys from my car. He has a description as well as the license plate # and type of vehicle, which is a black s-10.

I was hoping someone on here could give me some information on this license plate. Possibly a name and address of the person. It is 7YBP20. Texas.

I want to find out who it was because I know I will probably never find out through the police. Last time my Honda accord was broken into at the mall, I saw the guys doing it and take off as I was walking up. I got the license # and descriptions as well but nothing was ever done about this. That is not going to happen this time!

What is aggravating is I am trying to sell my car so I have to deal with all this before selling it now.

If necessary, someone could possible PM me the info. I really dont care if its displayed on here but if you want to kind of hide your identity on the forum thats fine. I just want to know who it was that did this to my car.

On a good note, the witnesses were extremely nice and helpful. They gave me there name and number and want me to let them know what happens and they are ready to give a description to the police or whatever else they need to do. I thanked them numerous time for what they did. They are some great people. Oh and at the gas station I found $17 rolled up on the ground in the parking lot. haha. That always makes me feel a little better.

Thanks for listening, all help is of course greatly appreciated. Thanks,

--Mark

If you have their license plate info then the cops should be more than capable to take it from there. Sorry about what happened though

I understand that the cops SHOULD be able to take car of it. But it did not happen last time something like this happened to me. I am still going to go the police route, but maybe another route after the police way is done!

Luckily the witness honked his horn to scare them off or it probably would have been alot worse.

sorry to hear about your luck, I've had 2 cars keyed before and know how this sucks.
Be persistent with the police, polite but persistent. Make sure they realize the only way you will go away is for them to follow up with this. You might even try talking to the manager of the mall to push the police for a resolution, I bet he does not want vandalism at his mall.

Good idea, I may have to try that as well. I really want something done about this. This is such a pain in the ass to deal with right now.

Thats why I want to find out who it was. I dont have hardly any enemies. I am a student who works all the time and have had the same girlfriend for over 4 years. I usually just mind my own business.
