HELP! My car got keyed.
That sucks. Maybe try your insurance but since it is not involve in car accident, the insurance may not be able to do anything about it. The only way is to locate them and hope they own a home( or their parents) and you can get their home owner insurance to pay for the fix. Good luck. If they are over 18 and does not own home than you maybe screw. This sucks because it happened to me b4 but not on the S.
My insurance is probably going to cover it. It was covered when my car was broken into a couple years back.
I think we are heading to the mall today and talk to the manager and police again.

How hard would it be for someone to get me some info on the plates?
Good luck with whatever you do. Just remember....strike hard, but strike quietly.
I hope you have more self control then I do...things would get ugly if I was in your situation. I have ZERO tolerance for people who do this kind of thing.

Don't trust those pay site. I think what you get after you pay is a link to where you can find info such as link to DMV.
I'm sure your insurance covers the keyed but you have to pay deductible. I just thought if you find the guys than you can press charge and have the guy arrested and have his home insurance to pay for the damage. It is really a long shot. Good Luck.

If you have witnesses and information and the police were already there, why didn't you tell them you want charges laid? They will have to find the guy and procede with charges. Once that happens, you'll have all the information you need to go with a claim or if your insurance is paying, they can go after the guys to make a claim to recoup their costs.
I would talk to your insurance company. If you are going to make a claim they will probably be interested in finding out who did it so that they can sue them to get their money back. They also might have some general info on how to track people down just using their plate numbers.
Good luck.
Good luck.
