Calm down fellas. Whatever the story is, he's willing to settle this matter now and end it. Let's give him a chance and see what happens.

I suggest everyone calm down just a little.

Make good on your promise..Pay Maca what you owe him..Hell if you are sure that the money is coming..why not pay him now.

But now that Ace has once again posted, lets keep it civil..and that goes for you too Ace

Thanks Andy/ Mindcore for you words...

I too am glad that ace has posted - its hard for him to come back with all this flying around. The last thing I want to happen is that all the ill will causes him to disappear. My hope is that this is resolved quickly and both of us can get on with enjoying our S2000's - which is why we all visit this site

Ace039, just send the man his money! He paid you and even paid you for air express shipping. You didn't ship it air express. He got NOTHING from you and you owe him his money back.

You getting your money back from U.P.S. is YOUR problem, not Maca's. Until he takes delivery, you own the goods. Besides, you've incovenienced him long enough.

When I participated in a group buy on this board to buy a Muzmat trunk liner, FedEx lost my shipment. However, I had no worries because the shipper kept me posted at each step of the claim process.

Many thanks Mindcore - I hope that this gets sorted soon. Looks as though I will be waiting until ace gets his refund from USPS though. Any idea how long this takes - anyone?
Not too worried - something is better than nothing.

I can tell you from my experience that you are in it for the long haul when it comes to the USPS. I made the massive mistake of shipping a computer to my grandparents via the USPS. They promptly "lost" the shipment and of course they have terrible tracking. We had to wait several months before we could submit a claim (in case it showed up) and the claims process was ridiculous. When this one person went on vacation or was otherwise out of the office, the claim made no progress through the USPS. If not for my wife calling constantly every few weeks, I feel pretty sure we never would have received the reimbursement. As it was, with all of her calling, it took about 6 months to get our refund. Of course all of this is moot if the package was not insured.

Bottom line is NEVER EVER ship anything of importance or value via the USPS. Always go with either UPS or FedEx whose tracking and process are orders of magnitude better. 9 times out of 10 your package may get there with the USPS, but you have to think about what happens if it does not. Not worth it.

Good luck.

Still waiting - refunds have been made by USPS to seller - getting frustrating!
