I think you did the right thing to delete the scan. I just didn't want to see you get into any "technicalities" with the forum admins. True he did put his return address on his letter but that was sent to someone specific (and mail IS private). At least when you PM someone the scan, you know who's eyes will see it. A scan of it on a public forum can easily be seen by "who knows" what type of person. Perhaps an S2000 "groupie" lurker who has a weird sense of "vigilante" humour?

Bryons2000, thanks for locating the info, let's just hope it will be used for a resolution to this through direct contact from Maca or legal means - It's good to see a little support from these members.

Thanks for all the help so far. Soon I hope to have both an address, 'phone number and details of the local authorities re mail order fraud. At that time I will plan to make contact with him and may request other help (pincer movement).
I guess my learning was not just to look at the 'S2Ki age' but also do a search on the seller to see what sort of posts they make and their general 'on board' behaviour.

I sold a sub kit to him a month or so back. He apparently had an issue with it a few weeks ago - for which he PM'd me. When I replied it took him a while (2+ weeks) to get back to me.

All I can say is that he is a little slow on the reply's but he does seem to eventually get back to you. I think he was on vacation for a while - his explanation for taking 2+ weeks to get back to me on the sub problem he was having.

Maca - I hope you are able to get this resolved!

any updates?

i drove by his house last night.. didnt see the s2000.. its amazing that this guy supposedly lives 3 blocks from me and ive seen his s2000 once.
