The oil jet problem was taken care of mid-year 2002.
And it's not necessarily a problem. I still have the original oil jets.

If it is an oil jet problem, more than likely it will be cylinder #4 which is the concern.

[QUOTE=Kyushin,Feb 1 2007, 03:25 PM]If they remain pricks, get a written denial of coverage, IN WRITING, this will most likely burn their ass when your lawyer presents then with the Magnuson-Moss act - unless they can prove those mods did the damage, they have to cover..... btw, get that goddamn fram filter off they are shit and oh lord the stories.

Yea, Mike, I think Jay needs to find a more knowledgable mechanic. Who can you recommend in the Atlanta area?

Red MX5 I'm guessing you're from the Atlanta Area. Do you know any good mechanics?

I live down near Macon, so I don't know much about the mechanics and shops up there in Atlanta.

Try posting a question in the Atlanta area forums. I know there are some good mechanics up there, but just don't know who they are.

I think that will be the best bet as well. There are a couple of shops here in the Chattanooga area that have done engine swaps in S2000s but that would be about the same as taking the car to Macon.

The Atlanta folks should be able to help.

There is a shop near Peachtree Dekalb Airport called Far East Motorworks which specializes in Honda/Acura. No personal experience, but maybe they are worth a try?

Try asking here as well: http://www.s2katlanta.com/forum/index.php

John Blake is a popular choice. I have no personal experience with him but the feeback has been positive on the forums.

Alan Cox Automotive is another option.

Try posting on the Atlanta S2K site for more input.

Good luck.

I went to the dealer and got a copy of my history and it states that I made a complaint about a noise comping from the motor in 2005. They didn't do anything about it then. Now, they give me an estimate 4,900 dollars to replace the whole engine because they say everything is worn. Isn't it the dealers fault for not finding the problem when I complained?
