Ooooh, having a little temper tantrum, are we? I'll remember this and treat you accordingly from now on.
OK, it's noted that IF you have giant hands or IF you have no dexterity to do it the way the OWNER'S MANUAL HAS INDICATED, then sure, go ahead and do it through the wheel well. Any other person in this position would find another knowledgeable person with "average" sized hands to help them do this job.
PS. I work with a guy who has some of the biggest hands imaginable and he can get his hand through that hole. Those friggen holes are 5" X 4" wide ovals. And once you get your hands in there, the space becomes much larger. If your hands are that big that you can't get them into those holes, I somehow doubt that your overall body size would allow you to comfortably drive an S2000.
PPS. Granted, once your hand is in there, you have to work by feel, since you can't see what you're doing. If you need to see what you are doing, then sure, you'll need to go through the wheel well. For most of us, we can have a good look through the hole and then let our hand do the looking after that.
But let's look at something else that may be difficult IF you have giant hands and/or poor dexterity .......................................
Checking and changing underdash fuses. Should we now suggest owners to remove the seat, lift the steering wheel out of the way and pull the whole fuse panel down so that people with big hands can do this task? Come on! This is the way the car was designed and Honda has printed instructions to allow the average owner to do the routine stuff in the most logical way they can. Don't get all pissy just because you got big hands or whatever other deficiency that won't allow you to do it the "normal" way.
Your first post made sense and was very helpful, but then, your second post (without any knowledge of the person you are replying to), keep hammering on taking apart the wheel well liner as if to say this is the only way to do it. I'm making sure that readers know this is not the case. If this pisses you off, I'm sorry, but you've mistaken me for someone who gives a shit.

Actually, I agree with you. I will be honest, I mis-understood the original post about what bulb he was replacing. but that said, I want to qualify my previous posts on this subject. I have arthritis - yeah, I'm one of those "Vintage" freaks that just had to have his second childhood toy (S2000). that being said, if I had to replace the high-beam bulb - would I use the access holes - probably not, now that I know how simple it is to remove the front bumper. And removing the front bumper is not the proceedure given in the service manual or owners manual - but ----- I do have rather large arthritic hands and I don't trust me handling a rather delicate bulb in those close quarters. And as for the suggestion of getting someone else to work on my car! Would you?And please, put your minds to rest, I don't use a 10# hammer to drive finishing nails, or take the doors off to access the speakers, or drop the gas tank to fill up with fuel, or take the dash out to change fuses, or any of the other ridiculous suggestions.
I will how ever be glad to bring my #10 hammer and help any of you wonderful guys with your car.
(It's a joke, chill)

I wrote my last post with a smile on my face, no tantrum here... I knew you'd come back and try to rip me to pieces.... I just love your sense of humor, honestly. I was provoking you on purpose.

I come down Oregon way from time to time. Let's meet up and suck back a beer. I wanna see your "BIG" hands.

I am 6' 4" my hands are pretty large actually, but they are skinny. I don't image I'd have a problem changing the bulbs ... lol
It would be cool to meet up though

WTF?

Not to worry, I've met the guy. He's a kind of "transcendental" sort. We didn't "hold" hands but we did shake hands (nice fellow). Maybe he's been working on the hold hands thing to make magic since then. Those guys on the East coast have a different way about them.
Best post EVAR!!

Oh, BTW, I had difficulty squeezing into the normal "stock" door openings, so now whenever I enter or exit the vehicle I also use the folding black door on top of the car. Overkill? Maybe. But I have giant hands too
