please don't let them get away with this complete Bullshit. What the heck is a point of an extended warranty when you can't even use it in these situations. Keep at them, and if anything, get a lawyer, cause it'll probably end up costing you more to replace the engine. Good luck bud and let us know how it goes.

In conclusion: HIRE A LAWYER

hire a lawyer and get a good mechanic. Figure out if, in reality, there really IS something that could have caused the problem besides an overev (such as oil starvation). If you can get those two ducks in a row your chances of having a good outcome definetly increase.

I'm confused. Do you have a Honda Certified warranty from Honda or do you have a Honda Care Extended Warranty contract. There is a BIG difference.

i hate when this stuff happens
its almost polarizing how the acura/infiniti/bmw/mb/etc dealerships are rated compared to the standard honda/nissan/etc guys.

i mean, not that thats surprising or anything, but i consider anything above 10k a huge frickin purchase and should be associated with STELLAR service, not with the dealership treating the customers as if they were shoppin at a flea market....

Thinking about getting an S2000 so this story is pretty disturbing.

I wonder why they don't program the computer to record over rev events. That way they could say you were cause and there would be no way to deny it.
