or check throttle cable, there is a stop from the factory which keeps the butterfly from fully opening, remove this stop and enjoy GTR-esque performance.

Having had two Evos (9 and X) they are not quick cars off the line unless you launch them, which as most know is very hard on the drivetrain components. In summer heat with the AC running the Evos are complete dogs off the line. First gear takes a while for boost to kicks in, after which you pull pretty good. In my experience, my AP1 was much easier to modulate the clutch / throttle for a decent take off. Plus the s2000 is lighter than the Evos, especially the X. Now in my C6 I sneeze and I'm at 40mph so all is good.

Has anyone considered the OP may have been granny shifting when he should have been double clutching?
