How do you park your S
When inside my garage, 1st gear only. On the street, first or reverse & parking brake. Always. Plus curb the wheels.
When I first saw this thread I thought it was about parking on the street (e.g., "separation anxiety") and how others deal with the all too real potential of dings, scrapes, dents and other legacies of the largely clueless motoring public.
Case in point: A few weeks ago I was walking thru a city parking lot when I saw two older ladies in a Toyota back out of a parking place and right into the LR quarter-panel of a cherry '67 Chevy Chevelle SS396. The passenger got out and surveyed the dent - it was a pretty good ding - made a joke about it, got back in, and the two of them drove away LAUGHING!
I got their plate number and left it - along with my phone number - on a note for the SS396 driver. The next day he called to thank me profusely for ratting on the skanks. He said he'd been having a lot of trouble with his insurance company and he was really glad he'd be able to take care of this without getting them involved.
Damn that felt good! And I hope it puts some karma credits in the bank for when my number comes up, as it surely will.
