I VTEC'd mine right around 595 miles to impress a friends friend of hers. They thought differently about Hondas from thereafter hahahaha... This car is quite fast I have to say. Can't wait to start lightening up pieces here and there.

I VTECed probably a dozen times before 600 miles.

 

I was a good boy and waited until over 600 miles. My Salesman said I had to come back and take him for a ride. That was back on January 31. I went this weekend with 1877 miles and we went for a zoom up and down the highway. He had fun I believe.

 

I hit the VTEC at about 650 miles and then got right out of it. I hit it again at 700 miles and took it up to 7,000 rpms. Then at 750 it went up to 8,000 and at 800 miles it went up to 9,000.

 

no, i didn't VTEC until 750 miles ...

i don't think Honda or the dealer will bother you if you VTEC during break-in ...

break-in period is only recommanded ...
