Default How soon can I switch to GM Synchromesh?

My S2000 has just over 1000 miles on it. After reading all the positive feedback on GM Synchromesh I want to change to it right away. Is there any reason to leave the factory fluid in the tranny any longer? Any breakin period?
Thanks

Nope, no "break-in" oil in the transmission. Go for the GM stuff!

Not hard. go to Honda and buy the 2 crush washers, get it up on jack stands remebering to keep it level. Make sure you get a hand pump. Drain out the old fluid and add about 1.5qts of the sycromesh. Keep filling until it over flows. Put on the new crush washers remembering not to tighen thr bolts so tight that you split the washers. Or just take the car, the washers and the 2qts if Syncromesh to you local lube shop and let them do it. They will probalbly charge you around $30.00. The Scncromesh will cost about $10.00 per qt and the washers are around $.18 each. Good Luck!
