Turbo, LOL, I don't really care to have a debate with you about MY level of "common sense"!

I'm afraid that most of the ground around here is NOT level.

Do you think that cool lever between the seats in the S2K has a purpose? Are we really not supposed to use it?

Sorry, I think we all know it IS necessary to warm up an S2000 engine, before honoring the VTEC gods.

But you need to warm it up by driving, not letting it idle. That is very bad on the engine.

Read what wickerbill wrote and you will understand how wrong you are.

You shouldn't use chains on the S2000s low profile tires. Several manufacturers make excellent snow tires for winter driving.

I am violating my own advice by posting while not contributing an answer to Tim's question.

T1mbo, thank you for posting the full description of your handbrake problem. You have now erased some of my frustration with this thread (the uninformative Subject still irritates me ). And I'm sure that you realized by describing your problem in detail, others are now finally speaking up to answer your question (in agreement with your handbrake problem).

Good luck with resolving your problem with Honda UK. And for those in the US, has anyone who had problems with their handbrake raised the issue with AHM? And if so, what was their response? I've never had a problem with my MY2000 S2000, but if there is a problem with the basic design, I'd like to hear how others resolved it. Thanks.
