I've always wanted to do this, but i am afraid that after taking the tape off the part might not be complete painted.

 

Are those spy photos of the new '05 S with the whole front end masked off?....

I do think the S looks better without the tape but I don't get it. You take the black tape off the windshield frame so it matches the body color, and then you put black covers over the entire front end of the car and the mirrors...

Nothing personal, it's your car and if you like it that's all that matters. But for the life of me I have just never been able to understand any attraction of car bras.

For those of you that removed the tape, Has anyone experienced damage to the underlying paint??

 

If your car is newer (MY '02 - '04) taking the tape off shouldn't be a problem. Only on older MY's can it be a problem due to the tape being exposed to more sun.

 

I didn't know it had tape on there. Mine was always off.

 

If you're considering removing the tape keep it in mind that the S2000 has a relatively upright windscreen compared to most convertibles and that removing the tape will further accentuate this.

Not saying don't do it. Each to their own . Just letting you know the outcome appearance-wise.
