I think mine had only 8 or 10 - don't really remember BUT

The car I had before the S was a Celica GT & I got that with something like 80 or 90 miles on it. I had the same "I've been screwed" feeling you have.

The only thing is, that car did nothing but run beautifully (never took it in for anything but regular maintenance) for over 100k when I traded it in to get the S so who knows?

(what's my point? - I'm not sure. I guess I'm just trying to make you feel better)

This reminds me of a question I was going to ask.
Is it possible/legal/OK/Honda policy to ask that I go on any ride required for maintenance?
Went to my dealer the other day because the car felt 'loose'. i was told they realigned the rear end,(?) but my car had an additional 11miles on the odometer. Granted, I really don't mind if the miles were used for diagnoses, but I think from now on I'd like to go along for the ride as 11miles seems a bit excessive.

I bought mine the morning after it was placed on the showroom floor. It had a total of 6 miles on it at the time.

I definitely would not lose sleep over it if I were you. They probably did you a service too, assuming they VTECed it, because IMO the whole break-in procedure on any car is a crock.

Mine had 8 miles on it. It was still in plastic when I got to the dealer. I drove the car with the mechanic in the passenger seat while he went through his check off list. I was the first person to fill the tank with gas.

Sounds to me that the dealer thought they were going to lose a sale and quickly traded another dealer for your car.

7 miles, still in plastic, 2002. Tank was full when I got it, don't know if they fill it in Japan or at/near the dealership.
