I think this is fishy??
I wouldnt worry about it that much. You'd not believe the beatings almost all cars take before sold. I once had a chance to watch a high end performance car get buiilt and driven off the line. The tech pulling it off the line hit it right of the production line and basically layed rubber all the way to the lot. Me and all the other folks on the tour were shocked to say the least. When we asked how this guy could do that in front of management etc... we were told that this is pretty standard practice. That its basically a final check to see if everythings tight etc.... Personally, Im not so sure how wise a practice this is but one thing I do know is that lots of cars enigines are "broken in" to set wear patterns NOT to avoid breakage. One example of this is when a friend and I picked up his CL55 last year the dealer told him to drive the car as he would normally... ie beat the hell out of it. I was told the same when I picked up my CL500. Anyway, sorry for the long post. My point is, dont worry about it, enjoy the car! If anything, use this as an opportunity to drive it hard and see if anythings amiss.... if there is you'll have a great argument in your favor when you service the car.
