I think this is fishy??

The next question, lets say some douche bag took it out and used vtec off the bat, how bad is that, the car feels fine to me, the only thing I am really worried about is possible long term damage that can be caused by unproper use in the break in period, and thoughts?

If they did VTEC OH WELL. I will be honest. I didn't do a PROPER breakin. I hit VTEC a number of times before 600 miles. 63K+ later. NO PROBLEMS with oil consumption/engine issues etc.
I think that you will probably be ok. Just find out how many miles the car came to the dealership with.
Don't worry - my S2k bought in August '99 had 70km on it (45 miles) on delivery and is still running fine. I had it dynoed recently too and it was delivering better numbers than other S2ks on the day.
According to you they had your car an hour later... so did they drive a 100+miles an hour from the port? How far away is the port?
I think that either they were using your car as a "tester" to sell other cars or your car was "loaned" to a VIP (probably the manager or owner).
When I bought mine on Dec of 99 the dealership had a red one with over 300 miles on it. Turns out that they had presold a few S2000's. When they first one arrived they called everyone on the list and had them come over for a test drive. So they used this car to sell orders for more S2K's and then tried to sell it as new WITH A 10 THOUSAND DOLLAR MARK UP!
This car should have been an Acura. I would have paid extra. Honestly... most people who own a 00 model did
Drop the top... find your happy plac e (curvy road) and let V-TEC drown out your troubles!

Mine had 7 km
The thing that bothers me is all that driving, if it was after it arrived at the dealer, thats crap.
If it was form the port, was it before the PDI was done?
and if so where all those miles out on with the spring spacers in?
all that aside, don't beat yourself up over it, You've got the car, enjoy it, and go and demand a few free oil changes for your sleepless nights

I bought mine as it was being driven off of the delivering car carrier. It had 7 miles on it. I ended up taking delivery at 8 miles.
My wife's Acura had 55 miles on it. It was swapped with another dealer and driven to our dealer.
If you're lucky:
That may have been the case with yours. Your dealer may have had to get it from another Honda dealer. While you'd hope that they would flatbed it over, its usually cheaper for them to send a driver.
If you're not lucky:
The car could have been used for test drives.
Either way, I doubt that your car got hurt. Just enjoy it and worry about the first 100 miles when you hit 100,000 miles! It's too late to do any different!
