An idea for getting rear windows retrofitted.
Hey everyone, I haven't posted, really, since we got the car in May of 2000.
Since the s2k's began coming with glass rear windows, my father has been as interested in finding a way to get the thing retrofitted as you guys are.
Check out this idea: he thought that maybe, since Honda changed from plastic --> glass rear window, that it could be interpreted as Honda Coroprate ./acknowledging/ the plastic window as a safety hazard, or at least acknowledging it as inferior to the glass.
So, he mentioned it at our local dealership when we went in for our 30k mile servicing -- the second he started talking like a lawyer, the manager pooped his pants and had his guys wash and treat his plastic window, for free, as best they could.
So, since the people on this board are generally interested in rallying support for ideas like this, i thought i'd bring it up.
Maybe if we made a big deal out of the window from this angle, things could happen

This gives carmakers a lot of incentive to improve their products doesn't it?
How do you explain the boxsters, Z3's, and many other cars with plastic rear windows? If they were such a safety hazard then the government wouldn't allow them. Just take care of your current window and you'll be fine. Remember stuff like this isn't really "free". Someone has to pay and it's everyone that buys a Honda in the future.
