Wink Ingalls Engine Torque Dampener

Well I wanted to share something with you all that is a cheaper alternative to the Spoon or Jays ETD. I was the original test vehicle for this product and and have had it in my car for quite a while and they are finally in full production! This product resulted in a smooth change over between vtec as opposed to the slight "jerkiness" of the stock set up. I noticed a huge difference in the transition between gears. (so very smooth) mmmmm! I recommend both Ingalls (the company that produced it) and Corsport (the company that sells it) If anyone has any questions about my review or the product please let me know! Thanks

I have that same one! I had it on my05 before I traded it in for an '07.
The vtec crossover is smoother on the AP2 v2 than the AP2 v1 and this makes it even smoother.
I bought the ETD by itself and made my own brackets. I was suppose to send pics of how I mounted it but the brackets wouldnt be consumer friendly or produced well. That was my fault not to let them know. I mounted it where the big name brands mounted theirs. I couldnt mount it where you have it cause I have a strut bar and I also have a Spugen heat shield where the ETD mounts to the head.
Great alternative, like you said!
I recommend it also. Very smooth. I set it to the softest setting since I dont need it to be race car stiff!
Cool!

All the supposed "gains" are most likely in your head Some people swear by it, and others will admit that its mainly a cool looking piece. For daily driving purposes its possible that the shifting will be smoother since the ETD does reduce engine vibration.

This NEW ETD is reasonable prices, but the mounting location is horrible Looks like it might prevent some intake from mounting like the J's, Mugen, or ASM etc. And takes away the option of mounting a strut bar, and also the heat shield.

Overall though it looks much more easier to install then the J's. Spoon, NRG ones...thats a plus.

Yeah, its not a wonder piece. This goes in hand with a short shifter or a front lip. Not much of a gain but cool to have.
It does help with the vibrations, now that ugly shut down shake is gone!
I dont 'chirp' between 1-2 anymore like i used to. It doesnt lag and you dont have to power shift as hard.
Any ETD helps a bit but its no turbo or coilover kit but it helps the drive.

Yes, the mounting points arent preferred by many and thats why I made my own brackets so I can keep my heat shield and strut bar.

Peace.
