Interest in shift gate, a la Ferrari
I did some preliminary evaluation tonight. It is highly unlikely that we will find a solution, and the thickness of the shaft is the barrier. We'd have to design something completely unorthodox so that the gate would be at the very top of the shaft, where is it thin. This would make for a dome shaped gate, which would be very odd looking.
I would get one for sure, but I highly doubt it could be done, for the shift-throws are too close together and the shaft is too fat. I just don't see how it could be done. If it could, I'd take one for sure.
well...ill take one....gunmetal definitely...
Rick...as for the shaft being to fat....haha...thats gross...
Well, anyways, maybe you could design a new shaft to replace our current one that would be thinner, but still very strong... i dont know if it can be done or not, but its an idea?!

Okay, Rick, if that won't work, how about the tonneau cover with a zipper down the middle so the cold-braving driver can maximize warmth. I'm beginning to believe there will be no summer on the eastern seabord this year, so that cover will come in handy!
Nice Idea....I guess it would be easier if the shifter wasn't attatched to the tranny like Ferrari or porsche and the front drivers .My shifter bounces all over with the rubber tranny mount .can't imagine that racket !!!
Given the amount of movement in the stock shifter,
I think it would make way too much racket as it vibrated
and bounced off the gate!!
Great idea though!!!
Keep thinking Rick and we'll keep buying!!
