Interest in shift gate, a la Ferrari
I would pass on this one, although I generally like your products Rick.
With a gate -- at least the ones I have experience with -- you can't cut across at a bit of an angle, and therefore shifts between certain gears are usually a bit slower (e.g. in an S2K, the 2-3/3-2 and 4-5/5-4 shifts). I've spent some time in a Ferrari 355 and I didn't like the gate. I found it intrusive. I know some people say it's just a matter of getting acclimated to it, but IMHO I found the gate to be more trouble than it was worth.
Just my 2 cents.
