Interstate Hwy blues
Yeh, do not jinx it, bro!
Talking about rock magnet, beside both side of the front panel, bumper and hood, I even got chips on my rear side panel, driver door, and also the wheels!, daily driver....
But, believe it or not, I never got any rock chip on my windshield frame where I have the tape cover!
Got to let it go, though, just enjoy the ride and fix whatever shit happened.

I think (could be wrong?) it depends more on the state you are in. I know in FL the insurance company replaces it, no deductable or anything. I cracked the winshield on my Jeep once and just called them up and got a brand new one two days later, they even came to my house to install it.

In Mass, glass is covered 100% with comprehensive insurance, which all drivers are required to carry, along with collision, until the vehicle is paid off.
The same is true, or was when I was there, in PA and VA.
