Issue with Hondata
Maybe I'm retarded, but I thought the stock ECU did not have a specific VTEC engagement point, it was a floating range based throttle position, load, etc. So wouldn't their flash have left it alone and it's at 5600 because that's what the variables are dictating?

Well I think I got another problem:
After driving the car for a while I noticed that the vtec point was around 5600 so I guess hondata flash my ecu with the wrong file
I specificaly ordered the toda file when filling out the form and sending the papers...I don't understand how could they messed that up.
It's hard to tell that I got any gains 'cause i'm only getting like 400 rpms more of vtec, but I do feel the increase in power delievery.
I will write hondata again and ask them about this and hope they resolve this issue.

After I reflashed my ecu I could not honestly tell when vtec kicked in. It was very smooth.

The reflashes set a Vtec window when vtec engages. It can be as low as 4200 for the toda reflash. If you are cruising at part throttle then go WOT it may engage vtec later than the advertised 4200 rpm.

I can clearly hear when I hit vtec and that's why I say that it's at 5600. I honestly couldn't tell by feel either, but the sound is unmistakable.
