It's Official!
THIS IS BULLSH1T!!
Am I the only one that's pissed off that there is a 2002 model???
For years the dealers and everyone else have been saying that this is a commerative edition only to be out for 2 years! Whatever!! I always had a feeling that this would happen due to the logic of the whole thing. The fact that Honda and dealers have made HUGE amounts of money off of us. It just would have been nice to have a real limited "Commerative Edition" vehicle. Oh well, I suppose the good news is that I can always trade up for a new one. Do you guys think that they will still limit the amount of cars to the U.S. to 5000??? How much will the new ones cost???

As much as I would like to think that Honda would keep this a limited production run, I highly doubt they would put so much research and development and technology into a car they planned to run for just two years.
It will stay a limited available car because the market will not bear too many roadsters. The Roadster market is not as wide open as it once was. You have several choices and at every price range. Honda of America expects that only 100,000 units (roadster type vehicles) to be sold a year. This includes the Audi, Porsche, BMW, Mazda, Honda, Mercedes and others.
The S2000 production run will most likely be more like the NSX production runs. Only not as limited. I expect it will be sold for several more years but in limited numbers per year.
It appears to keep it exciting they plan to change colors and discontinue others.
Don't get to down, in five years it might get that 6 cylinder VTEC that they are going to put in the 2003 NSX.
You have to figure this engine is only going to get better.

Hey fellas, just curious (since I've not been to the dealer to check out the chart myself yet), has anyone compared the chip of the new blue with the Insight MC blue (since it's the same as the MC blue on the Stook) to see if they are similar? Sometimes different markets use the same color but with different names.
