Default Just installed Berk Test pipe...

Is it just me or do the bolts not fit that come with the test pipe? I have to use the stock spring bolts for one side, and I used the berk bolts for the other side but couldnt use the washers that came with it.
The two bolts were too large to fit in the hole and the three bolts werent long enough to use the washers.

Other then that, i LOVE the test pipe. It isnt loud at all but I can actually hear my exhaust now at low rpms. I like being able to hear my exhaust a little bit instead of pure engine. Even at low rpms I can hear it a little bit. I didnt notice any weird smells either. Unlike my intake, my butt dyno felt like the car drives a little smooter with a little better throttle response.

Installation was the easiest thing I have ever done. If I did it again it would probably take 30min. If it werent for the bolts I would give this thing a 10 out of 10. So instead I will give it a 9.9 out of 10

I think I have read somewhere about the berk bolts not being the right size before. You would think they would fix this? How hard is it to change out the bolts? But the pipe itself fits like a glove And I like the built it CEL fix. Megans looks really good too. I wish I could install both to compare

I had no issues using the Berk Technology supplied bolts, including washers.

I had the same problem. The bolts didn't match up on one side of the test pipe, the side that connects to the header. I also had to use the stock spring bolts.

Anyone else get a cel with the Berk? I did. Drove me nuts so I sold it. Bc02 has it now. No cel on his car. He's running the AEM EMS.

The Berk has the modified sensor bung, which would act as sort of a mechanical O2 simulator, correct? If so, I find it strange that you still had a CEL. Did you try resetting the ECU at all? Did you try pulling the code from the ECU, and seeing if it definitely was the O2 sensor?

Not trying to bash the Berk pipe, but perhaps you should try a different test pipe and just make your own O2 simulator. I personally had a Spoon pipe with O2 sim, and didn't have a CEL.

BTW, if your friend has the EMS, then it wouldn't have a CEL at all, since the EMS has no provisions or functionality as an OBDII compliant ECU, and therefore would not trigger the CEL.

The berk bolts are the right size, they're just a bit short to make it "easy"

I posted up the size of bolt I replaced them with in the original group buy thread.
