Just put a deposit on this s2000....
Areet folks.... This is my first post here. I'm from the UK. I've recently got rid of my ep3 civic and think it's time to take the step into s2000 land.
I've had a bit of a nightmare trying to find one. There are only a couple of s2000's anywhere near me, one of them was a total dog and the other one is over priced (i think).
AFter traveling about to check out a few cars I've yet to see one that takes my fancy apart from the one closest to me which is at a honda dealership (the over priced one).
I ended up test driving the one at the honda dealership today and fell in love with it. I put a deposit down on the spot. Here is the car

It's £9,000, I could get a much newer version with slightly higher miles on for this price but they are at the other end of the country and to be frank I'm sick of traveling now and this is the only one in this colour with a hardtop I can find.
I'm probably going to go ahead and buy this car anyway, I know it's a bit overpriced but what do you guys recon? Is it a total rip off, or is it worth paying more for the low miles etc? I think it would be about $13,833 converted into dollars.
It has full honda service history, really low miles and it's in great nick. It also comes with a honda warranty and breakdown cover.
Also I've just noticed a few posts regarding rust issues in the arches, I didn't check this before putting down a deposit to be honest. What should I be looking out for? Is a little rust ok? It is ten year old after all.
Help me out here guys, I don't wanna be ripped off. I guess I kinda trust the honda dealership, I hope this is wise.

That actually looks like a very good deal as long as it has a clear history. Seeing as how that hardtop is easily worth $3k+ USD, you're getting a low mile, last year ap1, for about 10k USD. I see higher mile ap1s asking for more in worse shape here in Florida. If you like it I would say go for it!

What are those switches near the cup holder? Not the hazards, but on the other side of the cup holder.
My AP1 doesn't have that, I don't think.
Looks to be a fair deal as well. S2000's overseas always look so much cooler IMO.

US cars didn't get that button. It's for the headlight washers. All European S2000s came with them. Next to it is the defroster button.

This would easily fetch over AU$25k in Australia cause of it's hard top, mileage and apparent condition but that's just in OZ...
It sounds like a pretty good deal tbh...and I believe buying from dealer is better than buying from a private seller.
