Just a Question?
AP1- i believe the 2003 models have upgraded banjo bolts right? if not these you need to worry about. Also they are not very forgiving in a money shift aka over rev.
AP2- some believe they had a stronger rear and better transmission. 8k rev limit, but if you're going to turbo, you can bump that up to 8.5k and bump the vtec curve down to 5 to 5.5k and it'll be fine since you should be using another ECU.
Might consider a better rear end with a turbo kit. Puddymod maybe.
All in all, can't really go wrong with either model.
2003 model is what i think is best in the AP1 segment.
2004-05 model is what i think is best in the AP2 segment.

i like the F22 because i DD my car, like these other guys said, theres more usable power in the low end for the ap2 thats why it works well for me. thats just my preference, i really dont think theres a "better" one between the two.
i'm surprised this hasnt turned into ap1 v ap2 thread. also i would have to agree with previous posts that this wouldnt last long if a woman didnt post the topic

Notice the date of the OP above, Jun 23 2007... since the red X's come from a bmw forum, so I'm expecting a Z4 to be in the pictures, not an AP1/2.

I would get an ap2 because it's newer
if you have never driven a RWD sports car without traction control, go for the 06+.
BTW, there is a Toronto area S2K meet that is going to be 30+ s2k's I bet. It's july 12th at Speedstar in Markham. I suggest you go, you can test drive my ap2 if I see you there
