Easy.

Carry a pistol in a IWB holster.

Or switch to being left handed and put your knife in the left pocket.
Actually, carry the pistol IWB on the right side and the knife in the left pocket so that if someone grabs your strong side arm you can get to the blade with the weak hand and stab them in the side

I'm jes' sayin'

I do have two weapons that I carry (shocker).

There's an ASP 31 under the seat of the S2000 and the ASP 16 in a break away on my belt when on a motorcycle.

I have used the 31 once as a deterrent against a person and the 16 about five or six times twice as a deterrent against a person and the rest of the times on dogs when they came bolting out of nowhere trying to attack my bike.

Does that make me a hypocrite? I don't think so. I'm against carrying firearms in public, not batons. The risk of injuring someone other than the would-be criminal is minimal and I have found that it is more intimidating to them than a firearm in their face. Maybe it's all the action movies lately that show whoever is holding one kicking the living piss out the other person with it.

Batons are easy to use, affordable, you don't need a license to carry one and there's really little training involved. You can learn a lot of technical moves and be more precise in your defense with one but pretty much if you can swing, you can use one. My wife carries a 16 when she's out and about, not usually on her but its under the seat.

My strong side is the left fits better in the Recaro SPG on the left too.

Pretty easy not to kill someone when you have a 2 Day walk to kill someone outside your family. (No offense to any kangaroos)
That's an average though of the population vs land area. I would think that the population hub of Australia is more tightly packed than the USA.

I think he was being humorous.

A huge percentage of Australia in uninhabited. Our population density in the major cities is on a par with the US.
