I know this sounds like it's coming out of left field, and maybe it is, but is it possible this was all a setup? Like a bad April Fools joke? For humor, or some other purpose? Perhaps Rick notified cthree ahead of time that he was going to do this just to raise the hair on the back of the s2ki neck? Maybe to set a record for replies? Since everyone posted 100-1 that this seemed out of character for Rick, and that it is obviously going to impact his sales if true, I just have this strange feeling it was a setup. If I cracked the joke, I want a free membership next year.

Wow who cares what people do to their S2000s? Do you pay for their car payments, and insurance every month? When I get my S2000 in a month, I defitnely will not do business with a hyprocrite That was a VERY bad move you did for your business

Publicity, even bad publicity, brings attention to the vendor. Which means more internet traffic, and therefore sales.

People will not stop buying from a person who has a different taste, as long as the seller has a good reputation of quality and service like Rick's does.

Whether we like it or not, Rick's comments subconsciously make us feel like his aftermarket parts are classy in contrast to what others offer. Which is probably very true.

Rick is probably loving it!

I think Rick's post was simply a way of determining who he's going to send free badges to! Me me! Pick me!

I'm partly kidding but to me that's like saying the September 11th attacks brought more attention to Osama bin Laden.

Rick and Rick's Accessories are separate entities. He's entitled to his opinion. Personally I think Rick is probably quite surprised at the response. Having read a few of his posts yesterday, I caught a general theme of someone being in a bad mood. He vented and let it be known. It's one thing to disagree with it but let's stop it at that. Let's not overstate the backlash. It's still a small club here and ostracizing one of it's biggest contributors is not what we're about. The purists vs the modders battle didn't start with this thread, nor will it end here. But we can all agree with Rick's second point that the level of mutual respect between posters has deteriorated and we should endeavor to regain that high ground. Let's start that recovery effort here.

Or maybe "Paulie" has a gun to Rick's head?
RICK, are you OK? Do you need someone to call 9-1-1?
