+1 for driving through Tennessee mountains. I've done about 1600 miles. Cruise control save some gas too.

2500 miles from Phoenix to Washington DC in 2.5 days (33 hours of driving) with a full loaded trunk and passenger seat. Was ready to do it again when all was said and done. I love this car, love the seats, and would have regretted doing this trip in any other car, especially through Tennessee and Southern Virginia.

Averaged about 330 miles to a tank, and those were my only stops other than sleep.
Sounds like a great trip!

I have done many 500-600 mile days in my S. Very enjoyable drives up and down the East coast..
I have also done the drive from Phoenix to Savannah straight through many times in several different vehicles, 99 Miata, 05 GMC Canyon with trailer and a moving truck towing my S...
The drive from Phoenix to Savannah is about 2100 mies and usually takes me about 40 hours!

The last time I did the Phoenix-Savannah trip I traveled about 75% of the way on two lane roads.
I made that trip in my 98 Mustang GT this spring. I took my time, 4 days, and really enjoyed the trip.Texas hill country being one of the best areas!

I'm planning a trip from Milwaukee to LA this September. Done it many times in other cars but usually on freeways. Looking for secondary roads this trip. Plan on a week out and a week back. Once there, I'm going to spend a week driving canyon roads between Santa Monica aand Malibu! Oh, yeah, AND visit my daughter.

Cross country - Richmond, VA to San Diego, CA - 3.5 days. Return trip, San Diego to Portland, TN, 3 days. Nothing like shooting across country strapped to a bullet...

did about 1,800 miles from:
fort smith, ar ---> tulsa, ok ---> oklahoma city, ok ---> amarillo, tx ---> alamogordo, nm (white sands) ---> tuscon, az ---> phoenix, az ---> los angeles, ca

was the best road trip ever over a 3 day span with lots of beautiful "nothingness" in between the major cities. the s2000 is a great long distance tourer, too, although the lumbar support could be better!

Last October I drove my S2000 from Hillsboro, Oregon to Abilene, Texas (1870 miles) in 33.5 hours including stops for gas, food and naps. Don't think I'll ever do that again but it was something I'd wanted to try. The S fits me very well.
