Longest trip in the S2000
My longest road trip was a vacation DW and I took last summer. From Fort Lauderdale, we drove to Savannah, GA, then on to DC. After some sightseeing, we drove through Virginia, and picked up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Drove the length of the Parkway, saw the Smokies, drove the Dragon. Finally headed back south through Atlanta and back home. Total was right about 3000 miles.
Longest single day stint ever is around 700 miles.

So far my longest trip has been a 9hr trip From Whiteman AFB, Mo down to Barksdale AFB, LA. Just short of 600 miles. Don't think I can do much more than that. After about 5hrs in the car you start to get cramped, body parts start hurting, the list goes on...lol
Long road trips in cars (even cramped ones) aren't that bad imho. Now, you guys who go cross country in your motorcycles, THAT is impressive/crazy in my world! Perhaps it's because I don't ride a bike but the thought of spending all day on a bike seems quite hardcore to me.
When I bought my S in Glenwood Springs, CO I drove it around the rockies dropped my dad off at the airport in Denver, and then drove it straight home to Dallas, Tx. I had work the next day and managed to make it home 3 hrs before my shift started. It took me about 14 hours and it was my first manual car....I only stopped for gas and at a walmart to get a sweatshirt bc the night got a little chilly going thru colorado with topdown. The trip was in a bone stock car, but my next journey will be to homecoming in California and I made sure to get a headunit/speakers/ipod adapter for that!

Longest trip was this past memorial day weekend. Drove from Bay Area, Ca to Las Vegas, Nv and back. Round trip was around 1200 miles I think.
i just went to the lake of the Ozarks from st.louis, about 250 miles one way. i enjoyed it very much although i wish my hardtop came in before i left just for the security reasons and less noise on the highway
'02 AP1 : 1200 miles (Orlando to San Antonio)
'06 AP2 : 1300 miles (Ft. Lauderdale to San Antonio)
'00 Miata : 2500 miles (Bellingham, WA to San Antonio)
I go to great distances to find great cars.
I dunno what you guys are talking about but the s2k is extremely comfortable on long drives. I had no pain, cramps, annoyances in either the AP1/AP2 or the Miata.

I don't understand the fill up problem. I got over 300mi this morning on one tank, driving from Appleton, WI (where I got the car) to West Lafayette, IN (where I live).
Did you guys forget you have a 6th gear??
