My longest trip was a little over an hour at best...I never drove it far for obvious reasons. The car is small for anyone but I'm 6'3 so it's really small. I go up to Maine a few times a year which is about an 8 hour drive, and I always say that if I get another S I'm driving it there. We'll see

i drove mine from north alabama to gulfport, ms. It was about 8 hours one way. I have to say that my ass was super numb and i had to steal my gfs pillow to sit on, i hate the stock seats they are too hard, they are good about the rest of the seat though, they hold you really well. I got 29.7 mpg on one of my tanks down there.

My back too! God the S is not comfortable for long distance god never to much good for the back. Mostly my lower back wants to die. Oh well I love my car.

Wow!

Came to this site to gather info on the S2000 for possible purchase. I didn't realize they are this uncomfortable. That's too bad.

I've previously driven from Guelph Ontario to St. Peres Florida. Straight through several times. 1400 miles. Best was my eagle talon and Miata!
Both very comfortable!

I don't understand the fill up problem. I got over 300mi this morning on one tank, driving from Appleton, WI (where I got the car) to West Lafayette, IN (where I live).

Did you guys forget you have a 6th gear??
You will likely see this drop with a more aggressive alignment and sticker tires. Since I've changed both I barely see 300 to a tank, or better then 26mpg. When I first got the car I got 30+ on the freeway.

Just did 10 hours in the car, with a few pit stops along the way. Not your regular 'freeway' as there were some stretches of very spirited twisties on 1.5 lane roads.

My back didn't bother me at all.

750 miles or so in one sitting and only 2.5 tanks of gas. Had to drop ex off in Fresno then a strait shot back all by myself! Have done more but not all in a single sitting.

Drove 5,040 miles on a trip last year... 1,800 of that was non-stop on the way back!

Fort Lewis, WA to Fort Jackson, SC. Could have made it in under 3 days, but I stopped to drive the tail of the dragon a couple times.
